I have been doing my own nails here and there for a while and have tried a few different Gel Polish brands at Sally Beauty but always struggled with finding colors that lasted. I love that this brand is easy to use, only takes one coat to achieve an even and full color, and has a no wipe top coat! If you are contemplating starting your own nails at home,
I highly suggest purchasing the starter kit. You can’t go wrong with spending only $50+ to start your own at home kit when it is usually $45+ tip each month to get your nails done at a salon. ✨
I received excellent customer service from the owner and I’m so happy with my purchase that I just had to share my thoughts with anyone looking to buy this bundle.
She paid great attention to detail with the packaging; the packaging was beautiful! The whole bundle made doing my own nails so easy. I used it for the first time today and I’m so impressed. It really pays for itself when you think about how much it costs to get your nails done at the salon. I usually pay $40-$45 after tip so getting this bundle was worth it.
The UV lamp has a gorgeous rose gold trim, “Bare Truth” is such a beautiful tan nude color that really looks gorgeous on any skin tone. The polishes are of top notch quality. I love how everything is “clean,” I try my best to only use cruelty free (I’m a bunny mom) and toxin free products and that’s what the Camouflaged Polish brand supports. The cuticle oil smells fire (good) and made my cuticles feel like butter. The nail file was great quality and durable.
Overall I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase.
I really love this starter kit. I am really impressed with how nice the polish is, very smooth and mo strong scent. Made the experience of doing my own nails very easy.
This might just be the best kept "secret" for DIY nail enthusiasts
First Impression: BEAUTIFUL packaging and products. The lamp is good quality and the file is great (love the double grit). The pen-style cuticle oil is bigger than other nail companies (indie or big name) I've purchased from and the pen and magnet were a nice surprise.
First Use: The included instructions were easy to follow and the polish is a great quality; smell isn't bad and the polish isn't super thick or lumpy. The lamp has plenty of room which is nice for folks like me (clumsy) who often bump my nails when I'm putting my hands in the lamp at the salon. Do my nails look perfect? No, but I'm not a professional nail tech so I wasn't expecting that. However, the process is easy enough that with practice the finished look can only get better, in my opinion.
1. Clean as you go! Use a brush or orange stick to clean any polish from nail edge, cuticles, under nail, etc. BEFORE you cure.
2. Make sure the coverage is smooth before you cure; one of my nails has a little lump because I didn't fully smooth it out.
3. Check for lint or fuzzies before you cure as well.
4. Take your time applying the polish and the results will reflect it without the boring wait time to dry.
As for long term wear I literally finished curing about 10 minutes ago so time will only tell how long they last but I'm very impressed with my first experience of unboxing and using this starter kit. Who is going to tell my husband I need to spend more money on polish now?
OMG...Thank you so much for the review...great tips as well.
I am very new to the DIY nails addition. However, I know good quality when I see it. A regular gel manicure costs about $45. For $55 you can get EVERYTHING and DIY.. to include a polish! Baybeee - that’s a win for me! I don’t know how to do it but ima learn  also. Customer service is amazing ️
